While we are in isolation for the next couple of months, I strongly believe that there is a very important thing that everyone should be doing other than staying inside and looking after yourself. This important thing is making sure you stay connected with your friends and family that may not live with you whilst we are all staying at home. As not everyone is living with their families, staying connected with your friends and family can help make this time more bearable for everyone. Keep connected with others is essential as many people will feel lonely as they may have no one to talk to. Staying connected during quarantine can help you deepen your bonds, help your mental health and overall help everyone feel a little bit less lonely.

Your bonds with your family and friends will grow deeper as you are both going through this time together and can relate to the everyday struggles that you may face. Your relationship will grow stronger as you deepen your bonds and you will be someone that they can turn to in this hard time. For many people around you, being stuck in quarantine means being alone which means that their overall mental health won’t be up to par as it usually is, many will get stressed, depressed or anxious. Many people who may not have had diagnosed mental health issues before may develop them overtime as well as people who have been diagnosed may get worse. It is great to stay connected with your friends and family as you can make sure that everyone is doing okay and that they are in a good mental state and wellbeing. It is very important to be there for your friends and they there for you as no one should struggle with their mental health alone.

Checking up on your friends or family regularly can also just help you feel a little bit less lonely was we go through this time in quarantine. Staying connected with your friends can make it feel like you are there with them even though you can’t see them in person. It will also help those who are living alone without their family as you can just improve their days by giving them a call. With this in mind, we have collected several useful apps for you to use to stay connected with your loved ones and what you can do on them.

Facetime: Facetime is a great app as you can video call face to face with your loved ones

Social Media: Social media such as Instagram or Snapchat can be great way to stay in touch with your friends and family. You can also see what they post or put on their stories. On Instagram, you can video chat them and talk to them via that or start a conversation via selfies on Snapchat.

House Party: This app like all the other apps mentioned before allows you to video chat your friends but as well as that you also have the ability to play games on this app. You can play acting games as well as drawing games with up to 8 other people.

These are some of our top app suggestions to use to stay in touch with people and there are many different ones out there that we didn’t list. With these apps in mind, hopefully all of you are able to stay in contact with your friends and families as it is very important in a time like this.
